Star Lot: A fantastic original photographic artwork on satin paper titled "50 Days of War" by the contemporary photographer Erlan Dzhumaliev, dating to 2022. The title references the date of creation, which was exactly 50 days after the breaking out of war in Ukraine. The spectre like models, of Russian and Ukrainian origin, crouch in a "Hear no Evil, Speak no Evil and See no Evil" pose, with gauze like fabric creating an ethereal atmosphere. Dzhumaliev specialises in introspective and striking monochromatic works playing with the chiaroscuro of light and dark with allegorical female forms. He does well in the primary market and was recently featured in an exhibition in Photo Museum Ireland. Very well framed and mounted.
