Fine sapphire and diamond cluster ring by Boodles, the mixed cushion cut natural sapphire measuring 11.27mm x 9.25mm x 8.93mm, estimated as 8.75cts, within a surround of twelve well matched brilliant cut diamonds totalling approx. 3cts, estimated as G/H in colour and SI1/2 clarity, the sapphire in a six claw mount, the diamonds also claw mounted, the whole with a cage backing, and on a split shank white gold ring, size R/S, gross weight approx. 9.45g
Accompanied by an AnchorCert report 316363/20066006 stating the sapphire to be of natural Burmese (Myanmar) origin with no evidence of treatment, being of good saturation, moderately included
Provenance: Made by Boodles in 1974 for the present owner's mother

More Information

When viewed through a 10x loupe we have noticed five minute chips to the edges of the facets on the side of the stone. There is one small chip beneath the girdle. These are not visible with the naked eye.
Elsewhere the diamonds are in good condition, as are the mounts and setting. The ring is signed 'Boodles', has no other markings and is in good condition.
