Robert Heal for Ladderax, manufactured by Staples of Cricklewood in London, a black metal and rosewood five bay unit, composed of four room divider and two wall ladder, 200 x 35 cm, with a three drawer chest, 89 x 48 cm, a drop leaf storage cupboard, 89 x 39 cm, a cabinet with glass sliding doors, 59 x 48 cm, four corner shelves and fourteen other shelves of various sizes.
The overall condition of the unit is very good with only one of the supporting bars having a broken end, apart from that the black metalware is in good condition.
The wooden parts are in need of a good clean and polish, it came from a large very cluttered house and had been in the sitting for many years, probably from new as many of the other pieces in this section of the auction were in the same home. The vendor had passed away 2 years ago and the house had been left unattended but with the heating on low. We have given it a light clean to get the dust off but no more than that.
