A Victorian ladies silver-fitted brass mounted travelling vanity caseby Howell, James & Co. Regent Street, burr walnut veneer with brass edging, recessed brass handles, inlaid brass initials to lid, single drawer beneath main compartment containing two circular silver lidded cut glass jars, three silver topped clear glass perfume bottles, two smaller silver topped clear glass jars, a rectangular silver lidded clear glass box, another similar but smaller, one long rectangular silver lidded clear glass box by Thomas Whitehead, London, 1840, together with an eight piece silver etui Birmingham, (not original to case), steel scissors, the lid with removable mirror, leather correspondence sleeve embossed in gold "Howell, James & Co. Regent Street", blue leather and velvet fitted interior, silver lids with engraved initials, with key to two Bramah 184 Piccadilly locks. 32 x 23.7cm. x 18.5cm. high.
