Late 17th Century oak joined coffer, circa 1680, width 144cm, depth 58cm, height 73cm
All the signs of age and prolonged use as is usual. Worn back legs, signs of old worm and rot. Two panels in the lid split one is gapping. Candle box missing, replaced hinges ,lock and baseboards.
Still a good amount of originality though and good patina under the surface .
