A GWR cabside numberplate, 5958, from a 4900 Hall Class 4-6-0 built at Swindon in January 1936 and named KNOLTON HALL after a country house in Overton, seven miles south of Wrexham. Allocated to Cardiff Canton by January 1948 and later Landore, Carmarthen, Oxley, Shrewsbury, Old Oak Common and St Philips Marsh from where it was withdrawn on 10 March 1964 and sold for scrap to Hayes at Bridgend. Cast brass, repainted, the rear boss lower centre removed by the railways to avoid a rivet or other protrusion. (Postage Band: N/A)
