Thomas Turner, London a Georgian and later green lacquered decorative chiming longcase clock the eight-day duration, three-train movement chiming the quarters on a nest of eight-bells and striking the hour on a gong with the twelve-inch break-arch brass dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals, the dial centre engraved with a rural farming scene and having a subsidiary seconds dial, with cast-brass female-head spandrels to the four corners and a lever to the side for 4 Bells/8 Bells, the arch having a subsidiary dial for Chime/Silent engraved to the centre with the makers name Thos. Turner, London, the green lacquer case with painted decorative romantic and floral scenes, the hood with turned columns and a pagoda top, height 227cm.
