WW1 Worcestershire & Royal West Surrey Regiments Medal Groups. Two Pairs of medals comprising: British War Medal and Victory Medal awarded to 21002 PTE E STEADMAN WORC R. & G-9968 PTE G.F. CHAFFE THE QUEENS R. Both confirmed awarded the pair only. With a quantity of research. (2 Groups) Private Ernest Steadman served with the 4th Bn Worcestershire Regiment and later the 88th Co. Machine Gun Corps. He was wounded in October 1916 and later transferred to the Machine Gun Corps. Private George Frederick Chaffe a native of Battersea London enlisted on the 16th November 1915 and was posted to the 10th Bn. He embarked to France on the 6th May 1916. In January 1917 he was wounded by a gunshot to the right arm. He was discharged on the 3rd December 1917.
