156 A pre WWI French officer’s Model 1817 epee, plain DE blade 32”, gilt hilt with double shell guard, one shell embossed with a cockerel in wreath and trophy of flags, the pommel embossed with wings and lightning bolts, with wire bound fishskin covered grip, in its plated scabbard.
