With 10 pages of copied service records, roll etc. Joseph Arthur Hamilton Beresford was born 1861 in Laugham, Carmarthen, South Wales, first service date 13/6/77, first ship served Impregnable, pensioned 5/8/99, Pensioned in colonies 3/10/99, appointed to A&I Staff for duty with DNR 11/7/11 Promoted to Commander P.N.F1/1/14, Appointed to Naval Exp Force 19/8/14, copied Medical Record 21/5/15 confirming 'Pulmonary Tuberculosis and is unfit for Naval Service', placed on retired list 1/9/15, mentioned in dispatches 11/1/16, mentioned on honour sheets for Service in connection of capture of Wireless Telegraph Station at Kabakaul, New Britain on 11/9/14, died at Hobart, Tasmania on 24/12/52.
