Fine Early 19th Century Naval Officer's Dirk
16 1/4 inch, single edged, clipped blade with back edge sharpened point. Blue and gilt engraved stand of arms and foliage scrolls. Gilt brass, S shape crossguard with anchor and foliage decorated section. Gilt brass pommel and backstrap with laurel leaf decoration. Shagreen covered grip with twist wire binding. Contained in its blackened leather scabbard with brass mounts.
