19th century naive German folklore oil on panel, Coastal village under siege, with German inscription and dated 1st September 1855, 30 x 47cm, housed in an ebonised frame. Condition - fair
The panel is bowed with several cracks running across the work.
There is also a couple of knots in to the wood with are visible through the paint. The work would benefit from a clean.
