A pair of large and good quality Italian Maiolica two handled vases by Ginori, both with all over polychrome painted landscape and figure decoration, one possibly representing the parable of The Good Samaritan, the other an unusual scene with recumbent musician defending himself with a violin from a party of four female characters beating him with clubs, the handles modelled with female monopodia and terminating in grotesque masks, both with painted mark to base Ginori and numbers 36, 97, 40.5cm tall approx (one with old repair to base)
Base restored to one. Both have chip/glaze losses to the mask handles
