A signed 1952 hardback edition of 'Specially Employed' a compelling firsthand account of British assistance to French Resistance fighters during World War II, written by Colonel Maurice J. Buckmaster, the head of the French section of the Special Operations Executive (SOE). The book comes with its original protective sleeve, preserving its condition and historical significance.

In addition to Buckmaster's signature in the book, this lot includes a signed, handwritten letter from him, dated 9th September 1982, addressed to "Inky." This personal correspondence adds an extra layer of rarity and connection to the author.

An additional signature appears beneath Buckmaster’s name inside the book, further enhancing its uniqueness. This remarkable piece offers a rare insight into the operations of the French Resistance.
