James Webb (1825-1895) Shipping at Sunset, signed lower left, oil on panel, 23 x 36 cm, frame 52 x 64 cm Provenance: Private Staffordshire collection, purchased Christies 29/06/2011 Condition:The panel appears to be in generally good condition - no obvious splits or warping. The paint surface appears generally well preserved and stable - there are some surface scuffs to the very edges next to the mount and there is a horizontal scrape with some lifting to the lower right (see additional images). The frame has solid joints, with some losses to the surface and general wear and tear. The painting is under glazing - not examined external to the frame,
