1854 Crimea Medal Sebastopol clasp officially impressed to J. Evans 34th Regt, 1857 Indian Mutiny Medal Lucknow clasp to J. Evans 34th Regt and 1855 Turkish Crimea Medal (Sardinian) un-named as issued, suspension on Turkish replaced with rings, generally nearly very fine.
With 6 copied pages of service record and Mutiny roll, John Evans was born near Shrewsbury, enrolled in Shropshire Militia 20/9/52, enlisted in 4th Foot 9/11/54 aged 20, transferred to 34th Foot 1/9/56, tried and imprisoned for insubordination 1/4/57 to 3/6/57, discharged 25/9/60, served 13 months in Crimea and 2 years in India, roll confirms clasp in operations against Lucknow 2 to 16 March 1858.
