'WINTER RELIEF FUND' PROPAGANDA BOOKLETS: Two booklets prepared by the British Political Warfare Executive in 1943 as a parody of the 1938 'Winterhilfe' booklets featuring caricatures of Himmler. One booklet (incomplete) contains a pane of 12+6pf stamps setenant with a pane of 3+2pf stamps all with full gum. The other booklet contains two panes of 10 plus interleaving, though some stamps are affected by water damage. It is believed that these booklets were distributed by the S.O.E. to the French Resistance And to Free Polish pilots serving in the Mediterranean. (2 booklets)
