SEVENTEENTH CENTURY PLANKED OAK COFFER OF SIMPLE NAILED CONSTRUCTION, the moulded oblong top above a front with moulded top and bottom and nulled sides, raised on extended ends, 20” (50.8cm) high, 47 ½” x 15 ½” (120.7cm x 39.3cm) C/R-lock missing and piece let into top to cover locating plate, 3” x1” approx, two splits to the top from opposing ends, one runs roughly half the length, the other roughly a third, top slightly warped, both ends warped, right side quite badly, V shaped central split to left side, runs full length, splits to the back, woodworm holes to base, usual knocks, dents, scratching etc
