A 18th century Japanese heavy bronze temple Kei flat gong. The gong cast with cherry blossom and peacocks on both sizes, inscribed " Tenmei 2 天明二年壬寅" and "东丹寺现住晃海代" on the frame with two cord holes on top. Measures approx. 16cm x 28cm x 1.5cm.
