A Derby fluted tea bowl and saucer, pattern no. 86, painted by Zachariah Boreman, in polychrome enamels and wash with Picturesque views, gilt leaf and blue bands, bordered by broad interlaced and linear gilt friezes, dentil borders, the tea bowl 7.7cm diam, the saucer 13.5cm diam, decorator's mark numbered 8 in puce for William Longdon, puce crown, crossed batons and dots over D, c.1785 For a similar example see: Hoyte, The Charles Norman Collection of 18th Century Derby Porcelain, 1996, page 23.
