Fees

Edwardian opal and diamond memoriam ring, in 15ct gold, centred with an opal approx. 7mm x 4mm, bordered with small round cut diamonds, the shoulders chased with scrolls, inscribed on the underside 'In memory of Father' and dated 1903, size O, gross weight approx. 4.1g

More Information

The edges to the opal cannot be seen so one cannot ascertain whether this is a doublet or not, the mount is concealing the edge. The stone appears to be in good condition, again the edges of the stone cannot be fully examined due to the mount. The mount has a number of small scratches which can be viewed through a 10x loupe. The diamonds appear to be in relatively good condition, again with a loupe, minute nips can be seen at the edges of the tables in some of the stones. The shanks are good and the ring generally is good but there is some evidence that it may have been re-sized partially obliterating the hallmark.
