A Chinese archaistic bronze vessel, gui, 17th/18th century, crisply cast in imitation of a Western Zhou dynasty gui ritual vessel, with taotie masks on a leiwen ground, applied with a pair of zoomorphic handles, archaic seal script mark to interior, 16.5cm wide, 11cm high
Provenance: In the owner's possession for more than 60 years.
The vessel is not a perfect circle but there is no evidence of damage to the rim, the foot has been dented to one side and there?s an old manufacturing repair to the join on the foot, otherwise in good condition.
