Daru. 1901-35 Covers and a part cover (4), pieces (2) and stamps (16), cancels and handstamps comprising Lee type 41 c.d.s with "01" or "04" year date in black or without year date in black (4) or violet (3); "149" sunburst obliterator of Thursday Island (2, probably used on mail from Daru Island); "BNG" ten bar obliterator in black or violet, or on a 1909 part cover (front + half of reverse) to England bearing perf 11 ½d vertical strip of six with Daru W.D c.d.s (Lee 44); two line "REGISTERED / DARU B.N.G" on a stampless piece and piece bearing 2d + 2½d; violet boxed "Registered / Daru No ...." on 1919 W.T Wilson cover with four 1d on ½d stamps tied by Lee type 45 c.d.s; other stamps with the Lee 45 c.d.s (3); 1932 (Nov. 18, local F.D.C of 1932 9d, 1/- and 1/3) and 1936 covers with larger type 47 c.d.s. An interesting and scarce group from this very small and isolated office. (22).
