A late 19c German bracket clock by Junghans, the three train barrelled movement quarter chiming on four straight rods and hour striking on a coiled gong. The arched brass dial has Arabic numerals and subsidiary dials for chime/silent and pendulum regulation. It has silvered chapter rings and cast brass spandrels and is contained in a full arched stained timber case which is surmounted by three ball finials. The case has canted front corners with attached caryatid figures and a stepped base with brass paw feet. The clock stands 49cm tall overall.
The movement seems complete but the chimes need adjusting as they continue to strike. the dial and glass are in good condition. the case is complete and undamaged but the brasswork is tarnished.
