A Chinese Bronze Tripod Censer with Qilin and Fu Lion Finial, with Four-Character Marks to the Base.
A lidded bronze tripod censer, supported on three paw feet above a reticulated base. The bulbous body is flanked by stylised elephant-head handles and features raised medallions enclosing a qilin in motion. The pierced lid is crowned by a seated fu lion with a loose ball under its paw, surrounded by openwork scrollwork. A four-character seal mark is to the base, possibly indicating the period or origin of the piece.
