1899 QSA no clasp and 1902 KSA no clasp to Nursing Sister L. Paul extremely fine. Ex Dr Lloyd Collection sold at Bonhams 10/13 with his hand written notes that, Lizzie Paul enrolled in the Princess Christian Service Reserve 12/12/00 with number 845.The Princess Christian Hospital was opened in Pinetown in April 1900. Lizzie's name appears on a list of "Nurses engaged locally" in S Gray's book, being nurses who volunteered in South Africa and were attached to the Army Nursing Reserve in military hospitals. Later noted serving Green Point Hospital in 1901. (See photo) (R)
