1625-1626 Tower mint under Charles I group I 1a3 silver Halfcrown with cross calvary mintmark (S 2766). Obverse: first horseman, riding left with sword held high, plumes on head and crupper, no ground line below within beaded circle, cross calvary mintmark precedes a legend that reads 'CAROLVS D: G: MAG: BR: FR: ET HI: REX:'. Reverse: lightly garnished quartered shield of royal arms within a beaded circle, mintmark indistinguishable before 'CHRISTO AVSPICE REGNO' legend. Weight: 14.68g. Diameter: 34.5mm. Grade: VG - Very Good, reverse slightly better, slight irregularities on the flan as is often the case with this issue.
