A GROUP OF ITEMS FROM THE DANI TRIBE, WESTERN PAPUA NEW GUINEA, INDONESIA comprising a traditional 'Noken' bag made from various plant fibres with bands of yellow and cream through the design, a 'Bilum' decorated with feathers, fur, and cowrie shells, made from plant fibres, a beaded necklace mounted on plant fibres with an explanatory note on its production to the reverse, a cowrie shell belt comprising a woven belt with two parallel central bands of cowrie shells framed with coloured shells (part of the outer frame of beads loose from the belt), one tip with feathers, and a curved 'Kokutu' penis sheath made from a gourd (5) (Condition Report: signs of wear commensurate with age)
