A Victorian Oak Walking Cane, the white-metal top engraved ‘Oak From Hebron 1882,’ top with monogram, with metal-collared wrist-loop hole and sabot, monogram worn. The Oak of Marme, or Oak of Abraham, refers to an ancient oak tree at Hebron, on the West Bank in Palestine, where in one tradition it is believed to be the site where Abraham pitched his tent and entertained the three angles.
