£180
Circa 1000-750 BC Bronze Age socketed axe head with loop suspension and ornamental six-rib design extending down both sides from the open end. The blade is crescent-shaped and remains reasonably sharp and intact. Dimensions: the blade measures 54mm across, while the total length is 105mm. Condition: exceptional, uncleaned and unwaxed but stable, a slightly chalky green bronze patination, 'as dug' and attractive.
