Mavis Bottle (British School, 20th century), A portrait of Field Marshal Douglas Haig, 1st Earl Haig, after James Guthrie's portrait conceived in 1921, oil on canvas, showing Earl Haig seated in service dress uniform, framed, inscribed with the artist's name to the reverse, overall dimensions 58cm x 76.5cm, canvas only 44cm x 60cm Provenance: Major Hugo Roland Macdonald-Haig (1912-1996), thence by descent. Major Macdonald-Haig's father, the Brigadier-General Roland Charles Haig, was Earl Haig's cousin.

Some small damage to a portion of the moulding on the frame.
