A LARGE EARLY GEORGE II SILVER SIDE-HANDLED COFFEE POT

by Hugh Arnett & Edward Pocock, London 1727, of tapering cylindrical ‘lighthouse’ form with a moulded foot, the C-scroll fruitwood side handle pinned to tubular sockets at a right angle to a curved octagonal spout, leading to a hinged domed lid surmounted by a squat urn finial, the front engraved with a coat of arms. 23cm high, 28.4 troy ounces gross

The marks are clear. The hinged cover is in good order and closes well. The handle is firm in the sockets. Surface wear commensurate with age. In generally good condition.
