PROVENANCE: Property of a Gentleman.
One cover has been cracked in half and glued and is also missing part of the inner rim. It also has an old now visible restoration to the rim. The other cover has a large chip and missing section from the rim.
There are some losses/frits to the enamel decoration throughout and typical crazing to the glaze. One of the jars has two rim chips and the other has a small bruise to one side and resulting hairline cracks.
