Quantity of Biggles to include 1950 Hodder & Stoughton ‘Biggles Sweeps the Desert’ in dust wrapper lacking flaps, Hodder & Stoughton 1948 ‘Biggles in the Orient’ in unclipped dust wrapper, 1948 Hodder & Stoughton ‘Biggles Hunts Big Game’, 1950 ‘Worrals Goes East’ and 1948 Hodder & Stoughton ‘Biggles Fails to Return’. Illustrated by Leslie Stead with vignettes as well as colour frontispieces to countless titles. Generally in the publisher’s original full cloth bindings or pictorial boards, numerous with the original pictorial dust wrappers. Generally rather worn, with tender bindings, bumped edges and spines, many with prior owner's inscriptions and gift inscriptions to the ffep. Backstrip is near loose to 1948 'Biggles Fails to Return', which is especially bumped and worn, with child's scribble to the front board, mathematic equations rendering the first page of text illegible, scribbles to the final page of text not affecting the textblock and pencil drawings to the rear pastedown; lacking rear endpaper and with tender hinges and binding throughout. Dust wrappers chipped and worn to the head and tail of the spines, extremities bumped. Loss to dust wrappers particularly noticeable to 1948 Hodder & Stoughton 'Biggles in the Orient', 1950 Hodder & Stoughton 'Biggles Sweeps the Desert' and 1950 Hodder & Stoughton 'Worrals Goes East', which has tape repairs and is split in two pieces down the spine.
