An Indian Army 26th Baluchistan Regiment Victorian Officer’s belt, pouch belt and pouch. A very fine and scarce three inch wide tan leather example mounted with rich gilt circular lion’s head boss, two strand chain, whistle and holder and plate viz. resting within a laurel wreath, a Maltese cross with ball finials to the tips and lions between the arms and surmounted by a Guelphic crown on blank tablet; to the centre of the cross “26” within a circlet inscribed “Baluchistan Regiment”. Honour scrolls to wreath of “Persia” and “Kooshab” with two further scrolls bearing laurel sprays. Together with tan pouch with gilt fittings, the face mounted with gilt Guelphic crowned laurel wreath with “26” to centre. and matching belt. 1892 26th (Baluchistan) Regiment of Bombay Infantry; redesignated 26th (Baluchistan) Bombay Infantry in 1901 and then 126th Baluchistan Infantry in 1903.
