Territorial Force Efficiency Medal, Edward VII obverse, named to 66 F Sgt H J Standen Bedford Yeo. Henry John Standen was born in 1855 at Great Gransden,
Huntingdonshire. He worked as a Farrier and Blacksmith in Huntingdon for many years, also serving in the Volunteer Force and was awarded the TFEM in 1908 as a
Farrier Serjeant in the Bedfordshire Yeomanry. He died in Huntingdon on 25 July 1928, aged 73. His son Alfred Arthur Standen also served in the Bedfordshire
Yeomanry, as a Farrier Staff Sergeant, and was awarded the 1914/15 Star, BWM and VM for his WW1 service (the Bedfordshire Yeomanry was one of only six yeomanry units to be posted to a regular cavalry division in France). A scarce medal to a low number and Farrier Sergeant of the Yeomanry. GVF.
