GEORGE III MAHOGANY BUREAU WITH WELL FITTED INTERIOR, the oblong top above a flame cut fall, enclosing and line inlaid interior fitted with pigeon holes, short drawers with shaped fronts and three secret drawers to the top mouldings, enclosing a central cupboard door, inlaid with a military figure with rifle, set above two short and three long moulded drawers, fitted with brass swan neck handles, and raised on bracket feet, 42 ½” (108cm) high, 39 ½” x 21 ¾” (100.3cm x 55.2cm)
The brass ware is not original, all later additions including the escutcheon on the fall, the original handles were knobs.  Cracks to the veneer on the fall.  

There is a patch to the carcass about the lock on the fall and repair to the lower left hand corner of the second drawer from the bottom, scratches and marks commensurate with age.
