Splendid illustrated Sessa edition of this famous work by Pliny, with commentary of the Barbarian. Two COMPLETE parts, collected in a single folio volume, with two elaborate woodcut title pages printed in red and black. Contains 34 beautiful woodcut illustrations in the text, as well as 3 small maps and numerous large elegant drop caps.

Condition: browned, few occasional grubby marks, a couple of corners with marginal loss, stained in places, mainly to index. Page edges well thumbed, block edge worn, Vellum bound with attractive manuscript annotation to covers. 310mm x 220mm.
