Mid 19c French mantel clock the dial and movement signed Rouilly & Hooker Paris and contained in an ormolu rococo case heavily decorated with scroll and foliage and having porcelain flowers and individual ormolu leaves attached on a wire frame behind. The 3.5 dia white enamel dial has moon hands and Roman numerals and the two train movement has silk pendulum suspension and strikes on a bell. The case has an inbuilt ormolu stand to which the clock is attached. This in turn, sits on a a carved giltwood stand which stands on a black wooden base which supports the rectangular glass dome. Dome 53cms h.
The clock case is in good general condition and the flowers and leaves in good undamaged state. The gilding is slightly tarnished commensurate with age. The dial is undamaged and the movement is complete and runs and strikes. The gilt wood base has some chipping to the gilding and the fabric is worn. The dome and base are undamaged.
