R.M.S. TITANIC: Henry Joseph Bailey was one of the RN Masters of Arms onboard Titanic. He enlisted in the Royal Navy aged 15 in 1880; before leaving the RN at the end of his service on 31st December 1903. He signed on to Titanic 6th April 1912, and it was his first time serving in the merchant fleet. He escaped on lifeboat 16. After the Titanic disaster he did not return to the merchant service but after the start of WWI he re-enlisted in the Royal Navy as a petty officer and served throughout the war. The following lots are sold via direct descent.
