SWEDEN - FINE 'FEATHERS' EXPRESS LETTER; Attractive 1820 Court Circular having a white feather (to indicate the need to travel Express) still in place impressed into the wax seal. No postal markings so probably carried by court messenger. An 1804 E Crown Letter endorsed with a straight line through wavy lines and 'threes' signifying the three crowns of Sweden. In the bottom left corner it is endorsed with "Em Brf" (= Embersbref, i.e. Official Mail). Also a Court letter of 1824 which starts "I, Carl John with God United Sweden and Norway the Goths and the Wends..." Nice exhibition items. (3)Cross Reference: NORWAY
