A George III mahogany 8 day longcase clock by James Simpson of Lincoln, the cornice featuring dentil moulded scrolls & central brass finial. The painted dial with subsidiary second dial & date aperture is flanked by reed columns. The mahogany case is strung with boxwood and features reed quarter columns, the whole raised on a plinth base. Dial measure 12". Total height 7' 2" (219cm).
Condition report: Finial is loose. Some paint loss to dial. Winding key and case key are present. Includes both weight and pendulum. In running order.
