An Arts & Crafts wingback chair with turned spindles, bears plaque 'Goodyer's Regent St & Bond St, London W'; together with a bergere chair that needs re-caning (2). Note: F B Goodyer (fl1896-1908) is recognised as a significant figure in the Arts & Crafts movement and was a former partner in the firm of Liberty's.
Wear and damage to the legs, repair and associated small split (approx 2") to leg where it joins the stretcher, front stretcher has been broken and repaired with what looks like plastic wood, joints are somewhat loose, the arms are faded and the upholstery is tired, otherwise good overall condition.
