the 8" dial with black Roman numerals marked Thos. Maughan, London, raised on brass ball feet, the five pillar movement plate further inscribed Maughan, striking on a single bell.

Old cracking and signs of repair to the top handle plate.
Lifting to the inlaid border of the left hand fretted arch.
Minor cracks to case sides.
