Charles Lemaire - Martin and Nightjar from Birds of Europe 1864.

This beautiful print is from Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux d'Europe by Charles Lemaire. Published in Paris 1864. The brilliant hand coloured plates, engraved by the Pauquet brothers, depict popular birds of Europe and are 160 years old.

Size: 5.75in x 9.5in (14.5cm x 24cm).
