[8], 992; [8], 416, 139 pages. Three uniform bindings. Henri Estienne’s monumental
edition of Plato, the first complete edition, which for two centuries remained th
indispensable instrument of Platonic studies, to this day its pagination is universally accepted as the standard system of reference to the text of Plato.
Condition: some browning and occasional marking. Staining in parts to one
volume, this is mainly to margins. Bound in full calf over wooden boards, re-backed.
380mm x 240mm.
