The Cerbera Speed Six was the first car to be fitted with TVR’s own Straight Six engine, which would be fitted in the entire TVR range. The Speed Six was based on the 4.2, with lighter clutch action, softer suspension and higher profile tyres to give a more comfortable ride in line with its GT aspirations. The 4.0 litre engine produced a torquey 350 BHP, and the car could be described as a re-incarnation of the traditional British sports car of the sixties, but with up to date abilities.
