A pair of 24 bore flintlock duelling pistols by Wogdon, c1780, 15” overall, sighted octagonal barrels 10”, engraved “Wogdon LONDON”; flat stepped locks with safety bolts, the plates signed “Wogdon”; plain walnut fullstocks with flat sided butts and steel mounts, the trigger guards with acorn finials, and with small domed butt caps; with horn tipped ramrods, one with iron worm. GWO & C; in their green baize lined fitted mahogany case with folding brass carrying handle, containing plain copper powder flask with simple removable cup charger, pincer ball mould (very worn), and replacement cleaning rod, combination screwdriver/pricker, and key to the case. GC (partly re-lined). £6000-8000
