Khedives Medal (silver) impressed (W.H.T. Lovatt. Pte. RMLI. PO.7248 HMS Scout 1896). William Henry Turner Lovatt from Gravesend, Kent. Served on HMS Scout in the Cretian uprising against the Ottomans and this is one of just a few hundred medals for this campaign. He was Killed in Action during the loss of HMS Cressy 22nd September 1914, sunk by U-9 Commanded by Otto Weddigen. (1)
