A pair of scarce French 18th-century panels 'Chinoiserie' block printed wallpaper panels in the manner of Jean Pillement with hand-tinted detail, 149 cm x 51 cm the actual wallpaper, 179 cm x 80 cm overall dimension. See Country Life Feb 22, 1996, page 89 (magazine will accompany this lot ) Some blemishes of age and use but generally good decorative order. I am including some close ups of the most apparent blemishes.
